Information We Process
-
DoorDash Screen Content (Accessibility Service).
If you enable Accessibility for DashFox, the service can read DoorDash screens only while you are using DoorDash. This is used solely to extract offer-related information such as pay, time, distance, pickup and drop-off info, items, quotes, timestamps, and details needed to calculate $/mile and $/hour. DashFox does not access your activity in other apps and does not read passwords, messages, or personal content outside of DoorDash.
-
Location Data.
If you grant location access, DashFox processes GPS location and movement to map trip paths, calculate distance-based metrics, and improve accuracy of earnings estimates. Background location is processed only if you enable it.
-
Device & App Diagnostics.
Diagnostic information may include device type and OS, app version, crashes and errors, and general performance data. This helps with troubleshooting, stability, and feature improvements.
-
User-Provided Information.
If you contact support or provide feedback, DashFox may retain your email address, support messages, and preferences or settings to respond and operate the app.
-
Operational Storage.
DashFox may store operational data such as offer/trip history, calculated metrics, basic configuration data, and diagnostic logs. Storage may occur on the device or in services used to operate DashFox.
How Information Is Used
- Enable core features such as offer parsing, metrics, and on-screen guidance.
- Display the overlay and keep it functioning reliably.
- Improve accuracy and behavior over time based on aggregated patterns.
- Troubleshoot issues, protect against abuse, and maintain service stability.
- Communicate important information or updates.
DashFox does not use advertising networks or ad-tracking SDKs.
Sharing, Selling, and Business Uses
- Service Providers. Services that help with hosting, analytics, diagnostics, or support may process data as part of providing their functionality.
- Aggregated or Non-Identifiable Data. Aggregated insights (such as general offer patterns) may be shared or published. These do not identify individual users.
- Legal and Safety Reasons. Information may be disclosed if required by law or necessary to protect users or the developer’s rights.
- Business Changes. If DashFox is ever transferred as part of a sale, merger, or similar event, data may be included as part of the transfer.
- Sale of Personal Data. DashFox does not sell personal data. If future features involve data sales or new partnerships, this policy will be updated with notice and choices consistent with applicable law.
Permissions and Controls
- Accessibility. Used only to read DoorDash screens for offer information.
- Overlay. Allows DashFox to display the floating bubble.
- Location. Used for computing distance metrics and mapping trips. Background location is optional.
- Notifications. Used to help keep the service running and to send important updates.
Data Retention & Safety Practices
- Data is kept for as long as needed for DashFox to operate and improve.
- As a solo developer, reasonable steps are taken to handle data responsibly within the practical limits of maintaining the app.
- Storage methods and service providers may change over time as the app evolves.
- Certain data may remain in backups or logs for operational reasons.
- This section intentionally avoids promises (like encryption, deletion on request, or strict timelines) to ensure accuracy and prevent creating obligations that cannot be guaranteed.
Your Choices
- Manage or revoke permissions (Accessibility, Overlay, Location, Notifications) in Android settings.
- Disable location if you prefer not to share it.
- Uninstall DashFox to stop data collection and remove locally stored data.
- Certain data requests (including deletion, correction, or export) may not always be technically feasible. DashFox will make good-faith efforts to address requests when possible, but some types of data may not be individually accessible, editable, or removable due to how the app and backend storage operate.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as DashFox evolves or as requirements change. Updated versions will be posted within the app or website when changes occur.
